Introduction
As diet and health have become increasingly important to the consumer, the food industry has recognised the valuable contribution that can be made by suitably qualified nutrition experts. In the early nineties, nutritionists working in the food industry created an informal network group. The aim of the Nutritionists in Industry group is to raise the profile of nutritionists and dietitians working in the food industry, as a credible source of nutrition information, knowledge and expertise, to the benefit of the industry and ultimately the consumer.
