About the NII

Nutritionists in Industry (NII) is a UK & Ireland-based group aiming to raise the profile of Nutritionists and Dietitians working in the food, drink and pharmaceuticals industry, as a credible source of nutrition information, knowledge and expertise. We’re a group of like-minded individuals who exchange information and discuss ideas regarding all areas of nutrition within industry.

Who can become a member?

Membership of NII is open to any individual in the food, drink or pharmaceutical industry who currently is or eligible to be a:

  • Registered Nutritionist, RNutr (UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists)
  • Registered Associate Nutritionist, ANutr (UK Voluntary Register of Nutritionists)
  • Registered Dietitian (Health & Care Professions Council)

The food, drink or pharmaceutical industry includes manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, retailers, caterers, food service, nutrition service providers, medical food companies (baby foods and clinical nutrition products), and industry organisations such as charities and certain trade associations.  If you are uncertain about your eligibility, please contact our Membership Secretary and Treasurer, Leanne King (Leanne.King@compass-group.co.uk).

Freelance Nutritionists and Dietitians who meet the membership criteria are eligible to join but must provide details of their current industry clients, and any vested interests on the application form.

How do I become a member?

There is a set fee* of £50 for a one-year membership and £95 for a two-year membership. The membership year is April 5th until April 4th. *fee is subject to review
